The Average Selling Price of Huawei Is The Highest in Q2 2023

The latest series of research reports released by TechInsights Emerging Device Technology (EDT) service point out that due to economic and geopolitical turmoil, global 5G mobile phone (wholesale) shipments and revenue have stagnated; the shipment volume increased by 2.3% year-on-year, while revenue decreased by 0.3% year-on-year. The shipment volume of 4G mobile phones decreased by 19% year-on-year, while revenue decreased by 31% year-on-year.
In Q2 2023, TRANSSION (Tecno, Ital, and Infinix) had the fastest growth in 4G and 5G revenue: 4G phone revenue increased by 33% year-on-year, while 5G phone revenue increased by 420% year-on-year.
In terms of shipment volume and revenue, Apple continues to become the world's largest 5G phone manufacturer, with market share of 27% and 53% for shipment volume and revenue, respectively.
In Q2 2023, Samsung led the LTE market with a year-on-year growth of approximately 20% in shipment volume and revenue; Huawei has the highest average selling price (ASP).
