NATO's Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) has partnered with tech giant IBM to strengthen its cybersecurity structure with improved security visibility and asset management across all NATO enterprise networks.
Through NATO's dynamic new procurement scheme, featuring collaborative workshops, agile sprints, and constant industry engagement, IBM emerged as the clear choice to safeguard the Alliance's critical infrastructure, with its expansive global security footprint and unparalleled expertise in securing intricate, geographically dispersed environments.
"Amidst today's escalating geopolitical tensions, NATO's security readiness is paramount," declared Mohamad Ali, Chief Operating Officer of IBM Consulting. "Ensuring proper maintenance, regular updates, and effective security of IT assets and infrastructure is crucial for defending against increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. We are honored to leverage our extensive experience in threat management to assist NATO in strengthening its cybersecurity posture.”
Under the agreement, IBM Consulting Cybersecurity Services will implement a custom-designed Asset, Configuration, Patching, and Vulnerability (ACPV) Management service across NATO's vast enterprise network. This comprehensive solution will provide a unified view of the Alliance's security posture, offering a single source of truth for information on assets, configurations, vulnerabilities, and patches.
