Teccor manufactures and markets semiconductor products for the telecommunications and industrial market segments. The company has two product groups: transient voltage suppressor devices and power switching devices.

Teccor Electronics has a market-leading line of overvoltage transient suppression products. It has the number-one market share position in North America and is in the top three globally for both of its product categories. Littelfuse acquired Teccor of Irving, Texas, in 2003.

Littelfuse’s product line includes fuses, polymer PTC fuses, metal oxide varistors, transient voltage suppression diodes, and polymer ESD devices. Samyn said the Teccor acquisition would give Littelfuse a market-leading position in thyristor overvoltage protection devices.
