Arcolectric

Arcolectric is a brand name of Elektron Technology Corporation which is a 100% owned subsidiary of the UK based Elektron Technology PLC. Arcolectric manufactures a full line of switches, indicator lights and fuse holders for every kind of application ranging from computers to medical appliances. The switch line encompasses rockers, toggles, push buttons, vandal resistant switches, slide switches, safety switches, refrigerator/appliance and rotary switches. Arcolectric was established in 1932 and remains a leading manufacturer of switches and indicators. In 2016 the Arcolectric brand was merged with the Bulgin brand and is now represented under Bulgin.

Arcolectric’s line of indicator lights offers an array of colors, sizes, voltages and styles, including LED, neon and incandescent lamps.

Arcolectric specializes in the manufacture and distribution of approved switches, indicator lights and fuse holders for every kind of product from computers to medical appliances.

Arcolectric is a BSI registered firm to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and the majority of the products are covered by UL and CSA. All products when fitted correctly, comply with CE requirements insofar as it relates to them.

Arcolectric offers Push button switches, Rocker Switches, Toggle Switches, Slide switches, Voltage / Refrigeration Switches and Safety Switches. Recent product introductions also include vandal resistant and Piezo switches which are designed with a high resistance to wear and tear, corrosion and harsh use in potentially hostile environments such as access control applications.

The extensive product offering covers materials from Plastic including an anti-bacterial finish, Stainless Steel and Aluminium. The majority of the switches & indicators can be supplied with alternative light sources from LED, Neon, Fluorescent and Filament lamps in a range of colours. Voltages are rated up to 230V ac but suitable for 110v and DC current. Terminals are available with push on, solder and pcb variants as well as High inrush variants. There is a choice of switching circuits, bezel styles and panel cut outs offered in single & double pole variants with the option of adding different print legends as well as guards with covers.

Applications include Domestic & Commercial Appliances, Security, Metering, Mobility Devices, Vending, Audio/Visual, Lighting, HVAC, Power Generation and General Industrial use.

With the vast majority of manufacturing done in house, Bulgin retain full control over their entire manufacturing process from raw materials through production to inspection and testing ensuring quality, reliability and consistency. Their extensive facilities include automated plastics moulding shops and a metal press shop, assembly is by automatic, semi-automatic or manual techniques as appropriate. Together, these facilities enable Bulgin to provide exactly what the customer wants, when they want it, from low-volume, turnkey solutions to the mass-produced volumes of their standard ranges.
